Is run on a Friday morning at Raceview State School, where we have an amazing opportunity to talk to children about Jesus through the CRE workbooks.
Shine/Strength Programs are run by us on a weekly basis at WoodLinks State School.
SHINE is a unique personal development and group-mentoring tool that uses an inspirational, practical and experiential approach to learning.
The aim is for each girl & young woman to develop an understanding of her own personal worth, strength and purpose to realise the potential within her to fulfil her desires.
Similarly the STRENGTH program is about equipping boys & young men with the knowledge and skills to discover who they are and the person they want to become.
It also encourages them to find the strength and courage within themselves to make healthy choices and live to their full potential, and
provides them with skills to navigate and overcome challenges by helping them understand their own significance, resilience and courage.
KIDS' HOPE AUS
Kids' Hope Aus is Australia’s largest early-intervention, school-based mentoring program which has been in operation since 2004.
We provide this program on a weekly basis at WoodLinks State School. The school identifies children, who are then matched with our mentors on a one-to-one basis.
This has a significant impact on the children because it helps to meet their emotional and social development needs and
enhances their capacity to learn. Mentored children consistently show increased self-esteem, confidence and resilience.
